MFX

Modular Multi-FX Router

Four effect cells and a cable patchbay. Wire them in series, in parallel, or into a feedback loop, and modulate every knob in the rack, in any DAW.

The MFX interface: four effect cells, each with EQ, crusher, delay, flanger, filter, FDN reverb, gate, and compressor

VST3 · AU · CLAP · Standalone — macOS & Windows

Patch Anything Into Anything

The patchbay wires the input, the four effect cells, and the output into any topology you can draw. Several cables into one port sum together, and a global mix blends the whole rack against the dry signal.

Five one-click starting points

Each preset arrives level-balanced, and every cord stays draggable afterwards.

  • Serial

The default: the input runs through all four cells in order, then out.

  • Parallel

The input fans to every cell at once and the four lanes sum at the output.

  • Split / Merge

Cell one feeds the other three in parallel, and those three merge back at the output.

  • Feedback

A serial chain with the last cell wired back into the first. The return cord starts below unity so the loop stays bounded.

  • Dry / Wet

The serial chain runs alongside a clean cord straight from input to output, and the global mix sets the balance.

Freeform cables

Drag port to port from either end. Box-select, group-move, and multi-delete land in one undo. Zoom into a cell to edit its effects, zoom out to the cabling.

Per-cable level

Every connection carries its own gain. Drag the pill on a cord to balance a parallel split or to hold a feedback path in check.

Bounded feedback

Send a cell into itself or wrap the whole chain. Feedback cords start below unity and stay gain-controlled, so a loop never runs away.

Sidechain input

A second stereo input reaches any cell in the graph. Duck, gate, and modulate MFX from another track in the session.

Inside Every Cell

Each of the four cells holds a complete effects chain. Reorder the slots, switch any of them off, and give the cell its own modulation.

Signature Effects

Wavefold and Resonator are built for this rack, and both run in the time domain at zero latency.

Wavefold

A West Coast wavefolder in the Buchla 259 and Serge tradition. Where a clipper flattens a peak, the folder turns it back on itself, so harmonics multiply the harder you drive it. An internal envelope follower ties the folding to your playing: Motion blooms the fold on loud hits, Breathe sweeps its symmetry, and Shape sets how fast it reacts.

Resonator

A bank of pitched resonators tuned to a root and a chord. They ring out whatever you feed them, so drums come back as melody and noise turns into a chord. Run Wavefold into Resonator and the folded source arrives harmonised. Drift and decay controls set how long the chord hangs.

Pan

Stereo balance and a mid/side Width stage inside the chain. Place a cell before it reaches later effects, or narrow a feedback return.

Gain

A level trim that reaches true silence. Put it in front of a delay and modulate it to cut the input while the tail keeps ringing.

Vocoder

A 4- to 32-band vocoder whose carrier follows incoming MIDI, so the cell signal shapes a note you play.

Pan, Gain, and Vocoder also ship in PAM and CELL1.

Modulate Everything

Every knob is a target: the built-in effects, the signature effects, and the routing levels. All of it reaches the host as automation.

Six LFOs per cell

Tempo-synced shapes, plus a curve you can draw by hand.

Envelopes, sequencer, macros

An envelope follower, a step sequencer, macros, and a modulation matrix on every cell.

Patch-level control

Cable levels, the global mix, effect parameters, and macros all reach the host as automation and MIDI mappings.
